Announcing Featured Designer: Michelle Pieters

1. Do you keep a wishlist? If so, what is your MOST WANTED item at the moment?

I don’t keep a wishlist but I would love to get Illustrator if I could. I could do so much with it!

2. What is your designing routine, i.e. do you get a snack, put on music, get organized and then work on a kit until its finished or do you
pop in and out as time allows?

I pop in and out, flowing with the muse as it comes and goes.  I don’t like sitting still for too long so my designing stints are often
interspersed with stuff to do around the house etc.

3. When you scrap, do you use your own products?

These days all my layouts are with my own products.  I tend to spend most of my time designing.

4. What is your all-time favorite product OR what is your best selling product(s)?

My best selling products are Winter Glow, and Christmas Delight.  My Film Curls come a close third though!

5. What are your reasons or motivations for digital scrapbooking?

I used to do a lot of paper scrapbooking, in fact we have a whole room dedicated mostly to it, but I came across digital scrapbooking and fell in love with it.  I find it easier and a lot less messy!   Now I do it to help people put their memories on paper.  I love seeing layouts made with my products!

6. What is the best food you ever ate? Describe.

Hmm that is a tough one.  I guess I would have to say chocolate.  Not that I eat it any more but nothing tastes better!

7. Where is your “happy place?”

My happy place is anywhere with my husband.  I adore him and love spending time with him.

8. If you won the lottery, how would you spend the winnings?

We would pay off our mortgage, donate a fair bit, help out family and friends, and bank the majority of it so we don’t just fritter it away,
and live off the interest.  I would probably buy Illustrator too, LOL.

9. If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would you chose and what would you want to talk about?

Another tough question.  I would have to say Jesus.  I think it would be amazing to chat with him in person.  I know one day I will get to do that in heaven but a preview meeting would be cool!

10. What else should we know about you?

I live in New Zealand, a beautiful country that I adore.  I spent a few years of my life living in Singapore when I was a kid and I loved it
there too.  I am very happily married to a wonderful man, we have two birds and numerous tropical fish.

Our city has been devastated by numerous massive earthquakes for the last year and 4 months, and we have been rocked by over 9000 aftershocks.

However we have faith that things will come right, the earth beneath us will settle down eventually, and that one day in the future we will have a beautiful new city that we will love even more.    Going through so much turmoil has taught us to have greater faith in God, to show greater love and thankfulness for family and friends, and an appreciation of all the good things in life, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem.   Every day is a blessing from God!
