Do you remember last month’s Calendar Challenge freebie? The one that coordinated with Amanda Thorderson’s Mermaid Bay? That was such a spectacular kit you would think Amanda would have difficulty creating something else to match it…wrong! This month’s Calendar Challenge freebie is just as wonderful! Look at September’s freebie!
The September Designer Elements Challenge is underway and P’tit Studio Katia has a beautiful mini created especially for it. It coordinates with a softly elegant kit title Simplement Naturel and it’s free for you to download for use in the challenge.
September has made its way into our lives and a new challenge theme has made its way into the forum. This month’s challenge theme is “Bringing in the Harvest”. I can’t wait to share with you all of the beautiful pieces you can win just by participating in the forum challenges. I thought I’d start with the QPs this time. If you complete a minimum of eight eligible challenges you can win this beautiful set of quick pages. Just post links to your challenge entries in the Whole Kit and Caboodle section of the forum and these pages can be yours!
…until the end of the month! That means you have three days to finish up August’s monthly challenges in the forum. That also means you have three days to finish up the July/August challenges as well. For each challenge you participate in, you receive a mini kit that coordinates with a theme. August’s theme is titled Summer Afternoon and it’s full of bright, warm colors. July’s theme is title Summer by the Shore and it’s colors are cool blues and taupe and brown. AND if you complete eight of the monthly challenges, you receive four quick pages. Wow, just LOOK at the prizes!

Three more days….
A couple of days ago I gave a sneak peek at Vicky Day’s portion of the Create a Kit Event by posting several layouts made by her CT. I also promised to post her preview when it was time – and it’s time! Here are the previews to Vicky’s pieces of CAKE – Sweet Summer Fun. Aren’t they beautiful? She’s got four options available for purchase at only $1.50 per pack. She has an art elements and an art papers pack, as well as a regular elements and a regular papers pack. You can find these (and other) designer kits in the store from today until the 28th. Hurry!
It’s almost that time of the month again…almost time for some CAKE! I thought I’d give you a sneak peek at Vicky Day’s pieces of cake via some of the layouts her CT members have created using them. She’s titled her portion “Sweet Summer Fun” and it’s full of deliciousness! Come back in a couple of days and I’ll show you Sweet Summer Fun in its entirety and also show you where to find it!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is relative…we’ve all heard it before, but sometimes beautiful is just plain beautiful! LOOK at these layouts created by 2curlyheadedmonsters (aka Christina). I love them. I can only assume that at least one of these darling subjects is the basis of Christina’s moniker, 2curlyheadedmonsters. She used the same kit for all three layouts, though you wouldn’t necessarily know that by looking at them. Although the layouts coordinate beautifully, there is a LOT of versatility in that kit! She used Essence of Summer by Created by Jill – a new designer on the Digitals team (preview below). The kit was just added to the store, so if you haven’t seen it, you might want to go take a peek. Thank you, Christina, for sharing these amazing works of art with us!
I love Carena’s Designs. She has created some of my favorite kits and here’s an example of why. Look at this new release called By Frog Pond. Look at that pelican! And all the other adorable critters in the kit! I love them! There are 91 elements in the kit previewed here, as well as six papers, but this kit is just a piece of an entire bundle that you can choose to purchase if you’d like. I’ve also included some of the darling layouts Carena created using the bundle.
I was going through the new products last night, just checking out what was there and discovered these STUNNING layouts created by Fran at FranB Designs. I was beside myself they’re so beautiful, and I just had to share them here. She used her mini kit “Into the Night” to create them. I love the sparkly lights of the photos and how they’re highlighted so perfectly by the papers and elements. I also LOVE the way the pages are laid out. First, here’s a preview of the kit itself. What a fantastic array of patterns, textures and colors.
I remember when I first joined the forum some months back I didn’t know how to make a siggy. I saw people’s names with their posts, but I didn’t know how they did it. Kathryn Estry has pretty clear directions on how to make them in the forum, though, and I discovered that they’re actually pretty easy and fun to make. I visited the Name Game Challenge today to see what creations have been submitted by the talented folks here at Digitals and was not surprised to see numerous sensational siggies there. Like this siggy from glonet. I love how she extracted her picture and framed it with such a beautiful cluster.
