I feel so lucky to have been born in February, I get what I consider to be one of the prettiest birthstones.  The amethyst is so interesting with it's wonderful range of purples.  This kit was inspired by a piece of artwork showing an amethyst cave by the ocean (that's where the wonderful blues come from).  I find the colors so magnetic and versatile - I hope you find them that way too!  I kept the papers and elements fairly neutral in theme, so that you can use them on a wide variety of projects!
