Dear Vicky,
I have been thinking of you and DH, and time hangs heavy waiting for the testing, etc. Hang in there and my prayers are going to keep coming for a good outcome. May HE hold both of you in his loving care and continue to take care of whatever will be--I have not forgotten you and how kind you are to everybody, and for all the help you have given me. Hugs, love and prayers' Bernie

Thank you, Bernie!
Your words are so kind and encouraging! We are over the initial shock and just doing our regular routine. I'm glad my Featured Designer spot is keeping me busy! Tim has been taking my tylenol pms to sleep at night. Otherwise everything keeps going over and over in his mind of what the doctors have told him. He is not worried, as such. But I know he will be glad when the surgery is over and we can move on to the next phase of whatever the Lord has for us. Your continued prayers and thoughts are very much appreciated! Hugs, Vicky Quote:

Oh Vicky, I am so sorry to hear about your DH. I am praying now that it will not be deep or have spread. I am so glad you caught it at this point. Please share our love and prayers to your DH.

Oh Vicky, I'm sorry to hear that Tim (and of course you) are going through this.
For me, it really does seem like only yesterday (even though it was a year ago) Tom was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Fast forward to today and I'm starting to get anxious about his PET scan scheduled for the end of this month. But, I know that the support that we have from this group of wonderful people was one of the things that helped us get through it all and I know that our prayers are going to help you and Tim as well. Hoping for the best outcome with his upcoming surgery.

Lisa,
Thank you so much! I so appreciate your continued prayers for us! Tim got a letter in the mail that made him think that instead of surgery the visit tomorrow would be just a(nother) consultation with the surgeon that will actually perform the surgery. He called and they confirmed that tomorrow is just a consultation! IRKS me that he had a consultation with a surgeon who turns around and makes him an appointment AT THE HOSPITAL for a consultation with another surgeon! TALK ABOUT DOUBLE DIPPING into your pocketbook!!! But, anyway, I guess tomorrow we will find out how much longer we have to wait for the surgery. I'm still praying and trusting God for a miracle!

Am I getting older.....or are the doctors getting younger? :D
We had the consultation with the (2nd) surgeon today. He checked the lymph nodes around Tim's neck, arm pits and groin area to see if there was any swelling, which there was NOT, praise the Lord! The operation is scheduled for May 21st at 8 a.m. as outpatient. They will shoot the "contrast" into the area where the nodule was cut off. Whatever nodes it (the dye/contrast) "leaks" to will be the one(s) they remove. They will cut out a good bit of the tissue around where the nodule was removed. Stitch him up and send him home. The follow up visit will be June 5th. I believe we will learn what needs to happen next. If there is cancer in the nodes, that would be the worse case scenario. So, until the actual surgery happens, we don't know how serious it is. The doctor called it melanoma today. Tim asked him what the difference between that and nodular carcinoma was, which is what the dermatologist told him the lab results revealed. He said sometimes it is called that. He did say melanoma was the worst kind of skin cancer and that it can spread. So, Tim will have to go for check-ups every 3 months the first year. So, keep those thoughts and prayers going heavenward for Tim, as the Lord brings him to your remembrance. We would greatly appreciate it! Thanks for all the ones you have lifted thus far!

Vicky,
I have just written to you here on Digi, and lost the whole thing. The Good Lord didn't want it to go through I guess, so I'm back. I just can't write my thoughts in detail again, maybe this was meant to be, so here I am just knowing that the 11th to the 21st is another time period of deep apprehension but also faith in our Lord. He will carry you through and will open the road to what is best, he will take care of you and Tim, and my prayers have doubled up as I thought also that the 11th was the date, but I have also learned through past experiences that dr.s do like a second consultation so as to confirm and not make a mistake if humanly possible. My dr. told me a few years ago that I was feeling good the day after surgery (2nd time for same problem) that it was because I was still here. He stopped me dead in my tracks and said we as humans do what is humanly possible, and the rest is up to the man upstairs. I believe that firmly and faith is what will carry you and Tim through, and all the prayers that are coming your way. Please, I know this I don't have to say to you, but don't lose the faith because HE is in control of all of us. My prayers are with you and Tim. Hugs and prayers, Bernie
