Default organizing supplies...

How do you all organize your supplies? By designer? topic? color? I am starting to get over whelmed and looking for the best way to go about this...
Thanks for any advice!

I do not use special software. I have heard good things about ACDSee but it doesn't run on my platform.

Default Organizing my Kits

Hi Everyone,
I to need help organizing my kits, I have gone to buy a kit not realizing that I have already bought the Kit before, so I paid twice for the same kit. I have an external harddrive that is full of kits from several different groups going back to 2008. Could someone please explain to me how I can organize all my kits so I can find what I'm tooking for without spending hours finding the right kit. Most times it takes me longer to locate the kit then it does to make the LO.
Hugs & thank you,
marilynnay--mnay01@att.net

I organize mine by designer, then by scrapbook site. That doesn't always work for some designers have kits at a lot of different sites - but I use the site I use the most. I also use a very basic ACDSee which shoes icons and you can see what you have quickly. Another great free program for Windows is Irfanview what has larger thumbnails of graphics with more detail.

I organize by designer name. I make sure that everything from the kit is in a folder, and name the folder DesignerName_KitName_ThemeIfApplicable.

This allows me to search by designer name, kit name, or theme when I want to do a layout.
