My 3rd ggrandfather came to SC in 1735 at age 16 from London and given land by King George. He was a Huguenot & his father escaped France in 1600s hidden in a hay wagon to Switzerland, then to London.The house is over 200 years old and the Coat of Arms is in the house. He and his 2 sons were active in the Revolutionary War and in the Provincial Congress
