This is my layout for the challenge Let's Talk About ... with Diana Burton. Here is the text.
When I was growing up our home was beautiful. We lived
in the country with acres of grass leading to acres of trees. Behind the trees, the Kankakee River ran swiftly towards the Mississippi.
My favorite place in our home was the backyard where I could climb the jungle gym, sitting high off the ground and look around at what I now know was quite a vista. I also had a playhouse, which was wonderful. It was something of a miniature replica of our house. One side was my playhouse, the other was storage for the lawnmower and tools. My cousin Lisa lived across the highway pretty close-by. She and I made plenty of mud pies in there. That was a good place to be alone, too. Or I'd sit in the yard petting our Collie, Queenie.
I could always watch TV. There weren't psychologists telling parents how much television time their child should be allowed. Linda, Rich, and I definitely had a privileged childhood.
A stunning page.........................your journaling is just great. I remember making mud pies under a big Avocado Pear tree in our garden. Being a child 'back then' was a lot easier and less complicated than it is today.
