The Bridge to Terabithia is a very heartwarming
book. I didn't really relate myself with any of the
characters, but growing up in the late 50's, early 60's,
there wasn't much to do except play and use our
imagination. Many were the times that we created
our own place either by tunneling through the snow
drifts, or beating down paths through the tall weeds.
My siblings & I spent many hours this way.
