Journaling:

All the neighbor girls
adore Amanda and love to pack
her around. We today, one of
them picked Amanda up, but she
didn’t want to be carried, and said
that she wanted down. The girl
didn’t put Amanda down, and the
neighbor boy (from across the
road) heard Amanda whine
about wanting down. So he
went over to “help” Amanda,
and tried pulling her out of
the girls arms. This knocked
them both down, and Amanda
hit her head on the side of the
deck, hard... Jared came run-
ing into the house to tell me that
Amanda had been hurt bad, and
soon Jai (the girls’ dad) came into
the house, carrying Amanda. She had
blood all over her forehead and hand, and
she was sobbing. My poor little sweetie!
When I first saw her, I thought she
would need stitches! ... I took
Amanda from him and carried her
into the bathroom. When I had
cleaned all the blood off her,
I could see that it wasn’t as
bad as I had first thought,
thank goodness! But she is
cut pretty badly, and has
these three “holes” in her
head... After I got her patched
up, I gave her some Tylenol &
carried her to the couch for a
snuggle. She perked up after a
while, but it was still bleeding a
lot. So I had to take her in for new
bandaids, which is when I took
these photos... She is doing much
better now! Thank
goodness!
