Today is one of those classic Aspergers days. R always has to have every day planned out in advance. If we don’t have any plans he develops his own. For today he decided upon a Pyjama Day, a day mostly spent in his bedroom rediscovering the toys he hasn’t played with for a while. Expecting daddy to propose a trip to the park, R planned to stay at home with mummy to make something instead.

A perfectly wonderful day, except for one little thing. Today is our snow day. It started snowing at lunchtime and is expected to end in rain by early evening. We have tried to encourage the lad to go outside and play in it.
“No. No, today is a pyjama day. I’ll play in the snow tomorrow”.
Sorry son, there won’t be any snow tomorrow.
