I have to take photos wherever I go. It does not matter if it is a big event or if I am just going for a walk. It is part of who I am and I can not change that. I am in control when I hold the camera in my hands and the world disappears. The only thing that matters is my subject and technique. There are no other worldly sounds only focus and the comforting sound of the mirror lock-up and shutter. All I see is directly what is in front of me and the way it looks back into my eyes. We connect, my subject and I, on a different level absent of words or gestures. Sometimes I will hold my breath when I am depressing the shutter other times I just exhale slowly drawing in the moment.
