My husband is currently deployed and I snapped these photos of my son texting with him on my phone. I keep thinking how much different it would have been in WWII to have to wait for weeks at a time for letters to arrive from their loved ones at war. I'm so thankful for technology and how it helps us.

Yes, I agree! It's such a good photo catching his grin and joy at communicating with his dad! I too, want to thank your husband, you and your family for this sacrifice and will keep him in my prayers!
How cool that your son and husband can stay in touch this way!! Love the photo blending.

I too am thankful because I can only imagine what this is like for all of you! And I am thankful for those that serve and for the sacrifice the families at home make as well.

Hey GF, you already know how I might feel about this page...already crying, and finding myself wishing I had great powers, so I could snap my fingers and he would be home to give you all a great big hug. But technology is the next best thing!

Wonderful journaling! Technology is such a blessing for you and your son and those other families walking in your shoes! Love the smaller blended photo! What a happy grin on your son's face!
