She had a pretty hard life as a child from what I know and this is one of the only photos I have seen with any toy at all. My guess is that it was a Christmas present at some point. I also rarely see her smiling in most of the photos and this is at best a half smile. I still have alot of them to go thru in the box and this one was unusual in the photo coloring so thought this kit worked well with it. I did invert the colors on Karin's word art. In some ways it kinda makes me sad to know her life was not one like I was blessed with. While I have little contact with her by my choice I sometimes wonder ..... Journaling on tag reads: Arlene did not have much as a child. This is one doll found in a box of old photos. YES the photo is the colors it was to start with. Not sure how they did it at the time but think it was probably about the time the first color film came out possibly. Great kit to go with the photo colors! I thought you had colorized the photo at first glance, but sounds like that is not the case! Great memory page!
