From the moment you were born
I knew that something was wrong.
Too many people were making too big of a fuss
over you and it wasn’t the cute fuss either.
I remember when my doctor said to the room that
it looks more than just disposition.
I had no clue what she was talking
about but you sounded fine. Nothing was wrong
with you from what I could tell. I wasn’t
made aware of what really was going on
when you were finally handed to me until
I seen the pictures or father took of you
when you came out and were on the warmer.
I saw your feet and first thing
I asked was what was going to happen.
How do you fix them? The next morning
I was introduced to one of your spe******t.
He explained to me that you would be put in full
leg casts that would be changed every week.
And each time we would see how your feet were
progressing. I wasn’t sure if I was prepared
for this but this was the hand that god dealt us
and we would deal with it and every hurdle
that came during the process.
