I think the journaling pretty much tells the story.

Journaling reads:
One of the gifts Papaw and I got for Sydney this year was matching pajamas for her and her new doll she got from her Mommy and Daddy for Christmas. Her new doll is an American Girl doll named Kit Kittredge. Sydney loves to write stories and so does Kit. I can see why Sydney loves Kit. Here’s a description of her that was on the American Girl website: “Kit Kittredge is determined to help her family through America’s Great Depression. As a girl growing up in 1934, Kit sees her Dad lose his business overnight. Now her days are filled with worry about whether her family can save their house. Kit pitches in at home all she can, struggling with an endless list of chores that keeps her constantly busy. To escape the hard times, Kit loves to write. Seated in front of her typewriter, she fights the Depression with words. But are words enough to keep hope alive? Can she help her family find a happy ending?” Sydney not only loves Kit, but she also loves to read the stories Kit writes.

I made the hanging tie made from tie on pajamas. Ribbon was originally from one of Mo Jackson’s kits, re-colored and re-shaped. I also made the American Girl logo to look like the real one, but is not their logo. The logo is not for sale.

This is so sweet. I love how you threaded the ribbon through the photos.

What a super page with the ribbon woven through, neat idea! Love how you've picked the colors from the photos for the page. And you all are American Dolls, and you'll be young forever, you've that kind of personality!
