I was inspired to make this layout for my journal that will eventually go to my girls. It all started with a question by one of my daughters about why we are in Iraq, and why people keep dying. It got me thinking about why we are there, and how it all started on Sept. 11, 2001 when our country was attacked. I started to really search for the answers myself... Who is responsible... Why are we all fighting... Why? What can I tell my girls when they are sad and scared because of the people who are being killed? I decided that it is not a person or a country that is responsible...it is just plain evil. I believe that good is so much stronger than evil, and that if all people could work together and look for ways we are alike, instead of different...we could really change the world. When I turn on the news and see people fighting...race against race...religion against religion...democrat against republican...I think, if they could only work together... Imagine the things they could do... Wow!

Oh, Angie! This is so thought-provoking...it's absolultely marvelous! What a "beautiful" way to teach your daughters!
I guess I shouldn't just be scrapping our little family events but the bigger events around us that define who we are and where we are going in life. Thanks for the inspiration!

You are correct, Jennifer. Why do we just scrap our little world around us when there is a whole wide world out there that impacts our lives every day! Great inspiration, Angie!

Oh, Angie...You dont know how much this page has made me cry. As I found out earlier today that they are extending our troops over there for an additional 3 months...90 extra days added until I get to see my DH. This is a wonderful tribute to the men and women in the armed forces as well. i love it! Very powerful page!
