This family photo was taken on October 25, 2005 in front of the Cracker Barrell in Plainfield, IN. We had just finished breakfast and were somewhat stalling to carry on with the day's mission to take Dad to the Dementia Care Unit at the N. Indiana VA Hospital in Marion. We shared many laughs today to avoid the more difficult emotions and feelings associated with a distasteful task.
Brown and Green backgrounds by jan Hosford from the freebie fun autumn kit at digitalscrapbookpages.
Scripture word art by Glenda Ketcham for the October Scripture challenge at digitalscrapbookpages.
Stripe background by Sarah Batdorf's A Beautiful Mess kit.
Other background papers I still need to give credit to the creators.
Jolyn, this is such a nice LO. I know this must have been a hard LO to scrap, but I think it's so good to scrap not just the happy memories, but even the ones that are painful. I know it's really hard to do the painful ones and sometimes we have to wait a while before we can actually do them. But when we put all kinds of memories in our scrapbooks, and include journaling, they actually become family history books, not just photo albums.
Thank you so much for doing this challenge. Hopefully it was even a little therapeutic (sp?).
