Cindy is what my family calls me. Robert is my husband.
Journaling reads:
It was a warm sunny day on July 10, 2000 and I was sitting in my doctors office. I was 9 months pregnant
and ready to pop! I was actually arguing with my doctor. She had just told me to go to the hospital that I was
to be induced. I told her no, because, you see, July 10th is my birthday and I really wanted my son to have his
own birthday. "Wouldn't tomorrow work," I asked. "Nope," I was told she had something she was out for all day
and she really wanted to deliver my baby. She REALLY wanted to deliver my baby because I'd lost half my
amniotic fluid since my last visit, and the baby needed to be delivered NOW, before he was in distress. Okay,
that convinced me. I was on the phone as I walked out of the doctor's office telling Robert what the docotr had
said. He met me at home to take me to the hospital. We rode up the elevator with three Sisters who, after we told
them we were having a baby "today," prayed for me and my child. We checked in around 3pm and they hooked
me up and asked me all the questions. Everything was going normally. My mom and dad showed up, dad
waited outside in the hall. We called Robert's parents, sister and brother. We called my brother also, so then
everyone knew. I kept hoping to be in labor past midnight, I was still hoping for him to have his own birthday,
but everything progressed to fast on the end and Matthew Aaron arrived in the world at 23:23 or 11:23pm,
July 10, 2000. So needless to say, we share a birthday. I've come to the realization that my 31st birthday was
exceptionally special and I was given the best present that no one will ever be able to top, ever.

What a wonderful birthday gift! Your son my not have his "own day", but the two of you will always have such a special bond by sharing this day with each other every year. Your page is so pretty, and look how good you look for just giving birth!!
Beautiful photo and beautiful journaling. My daughter was born just one week before my birthday and I've always thought she was the best early birthday I ever had.
