Journaling reads:
Your first grade had a bird book project. Everyone in
the class was to pick a bird to reasearch and write
about, you picked flamingos. You worked for weeks
researching and then writing and editing your book.
You asked me for help so we went to the zoo and
took pictures of the flamingos for you. We also
checked out books on flamingos from the library.
Then all the first grade classes got together for a
book signing party. You were to read the book to
Megan and I and other adults and then have us
sign the back page. You did an excellent job on
your book and I was impressed with how well you
read your book.
