For decades after George and I started flying hang gliders in 1982, every weekend when it wasn’t raining, and every vacation, we’d load up our wings and go fly. But in the past several years we’ve lost some of that all-consuming passion and widened our recreational choices to include lots of ground-bound activities. And that’s been a good thing, with many fun adventures that we’d have missed out on if we’d been off on a quest for airtime. Still, when it’s been a while since I’ve flown, I REALLY miss it. I’m hoping in 2012 to add back in significant chunks of quality time with my feet off the ground.
